Los Angeles Marathon XXI wearing Vibram® FiveFingers Barefoot Shoes
BUY VIBRAM FIVEFINGERS
Ran the LA Marathon as a training run in preparation for the upcoming Boston Marathon.
Ran it in 3:30:57 which puts me in the top 7% of the 40-44 age group.
It was the first road marathon that I ever wore shoes!

I was sponsored by Vibram® to wear a pair of their soon to be released FiveFingers barefoot shoes.

I am still testing these shoes, but so far, I must say that I am impressed by their quality. The feel is as close to barefooting as you can get.
I am looking forward to wearing them in Boston.

Hi Barefoot Ted! I recently heard about the Fivefingers and would like some feedback before I purchase them. I'm a serious female runner (1:19:21 half marathon, 54:50 15K-- training to qualify for the Olympic Marathon Trials). I've been training in flats (Puma H Streets) and barefoot for the past 2 years with much success! I would love to run barefoot all the time, if it weren't for the hazards and transition/patience that's required. I'm considering getting a pair of the Fivefingers and testing them out on morning runs. However, I was wondering if you could provide some feedback. Are they true to size? How do they compare to actual barefoot running? How's the durability? Any rubbing? Do they hold up on all surfaces? You can email me at: runcamille@yahoo.com
Thank you for being an inspiration! :) Camille

Hi Barefoot Ted,
Thanks for your inspiration! I just ran the Montreal marathon with my VFFs Sprint. It was my first marathon and without your example I wouldn't have dared wearing these...
tks :)
