7 miles up, up, up. 7 miles down. Fast.
The fire road asphalt was so rough that it slowly sandpapered down the callous on my feet. My feet were sensitive for the rest of the week.

I just moved here from New Mexico about 4 months ago (Los Alamos & Ruidoso both over 7000 ft elevation) I love to run but have lost some of my speed now that I'm older. I'm looking for a group to run with. I work in San Fernando and run at Carizo Park and Veteran's Park when the weather is nice, but looking to start running more.

You need to meet up with the San Fernando Valley chapter of the Wild Mountain Runner club.
They generally meet over by the Hansen Dam Swim Lake at around 7am.
Best of luck.
