INTERESTING about your barefoot running. I am a barefoot walker. Have often considered running but I'm a little chicken - haven't run for 20 years. Question about other pictures and sandals for descending. I live where it's entirely flat - why sandals for a descent? It it that much harder on your soles? Not judging - just curious. Descending on steep, rocky trails can be a big challenge in bare feet, so when necessary, I bring something to help protect my foot when I know that I will be spending a lot of time running downhills.
